Sakura (桜)

Make your morning coffee ritual even more sacred with the Sakura (桜), a hand-thrown Cup in our studio Kiosque ODD at Trøjborg.

Sakura (桜) means cherry blossom - reflected within the glace you see a delicate light pink changere with the matte white, resembling the flower of a cherry tree.

The pink glace is made to highlight the floral notes within the coffe, and with a raised bottom pedestal to make it feel present in your hand. From the moment you lift it, drink from it and until you put it down.
The exposed clay at the bottom of the cup is also lightly dyed and adds to the character of the delicate glace structure

Sakura (桜) is crafted from stoneware clay where we have added some color to the clay.
It is finished with a hand-applied glaze. Built for daily use, not to gather dust in a display cabinet—it’s designed to be your everyday cup while still adding a touch of quiet luxury to your life.

Each cup has its own mood. Some are a touch darker, some a little rounder. That’s what happens when real hands are involved. No two are quite the same – just like your mornings. Perfect for a small batchbrew or Pour over coffee, Small Cappuccino, tea or whatever floats your boat.

We recommend hand washing your cup (your dishwasher will forgive you). Hand-thrown – variations in size and colour are part of the charm.
